Corner Storage

At the start, we had peeled back a loose piece of the old linoleum floor to discover the original wood floor underneath. We test sanded a small spot -- but would the whole floor be in this good condition? After patching in missing sections with well-matched new wood, Konopka Floor Sanding did a great job with the sanding and finishing. You'll have to look hard to tell where the original floor ends and the new begins!

With an old house, we always expect the usual lumps and bends in floors and walls, but here we had the extra challenge of casing the lovely old arched-top French doors. We traced the opening on thin plywood, which we then delivered to Architectural Specialties Inc, of Boscawen, who generously agreed to donate the special trim required. They ground a special knife to match the original molding, and used our template to perfectly match the curve. Great job!
