The owners of this delightful 'cottage' were very fortunate to have the original blueprints, drawn up by the Boston architectural firm of Peabody & Stearns in 1906. If you compare this blueprint detail with the new Hutch wall, you can see several details that we adapted directly from the original design:

  • The sliding glass doors
  • The 'beadboard' backsplash
  • The door style (we had a special cutter machined to match)
  • The moldings and toe board
